Family is the foundation of everything
Family is the foundation of society
A close, strong family is the guarantor of stability and a defining factor in the development of any nation. It is thanks to families that historical and cultural heritage is preserved — in the form of family values, traditions and customs; new generations are born, and society as a whole keeps functioning. This is fairly obvious, yet people very often forget the enormous contribution the family makes to their own lives and to the world around them. To address this, the 1993 UN Assembly proposed creating a special holiday in honour of such an important part of society. The decision came quickly, and an official date for the International Day of Families was soon chosen — 15 May.

The meaning of the International Day of Families
This step only confirmed how important it is to preserve family ties and to build a close-knit family based on good upbringing and respect for one's traditions. Family Day is a wonderful occasion to gather with your loved ones. You can bring a bouquet for your sister, your mother or your grandmother, decorate the festive table, set the right mood and enjoy the pleasant scent of fragrant flowers while listening to interesting stories from other family members' lives.
