7 January — Orthodox Christmas
Christmasis an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ observed as a religious and cultural celebration among of people around the world. Thirteen days after Western Church Christmas, on January 7th, the Eastern Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas in accordance with the old Julian calendar.
13 January — The Old New Year
The Old New Year is a traditional holiday that is celebrated on January 14th in several countries around the world. It is based on the Julian calendar, which is used by some Orthodox churches, and falls about two weeks after the regular New Year. Despite its name, the Old New Year is a time of new beginnings and fresh starts, and is often marked by festivities and celebrations.
