We arrived in a town called Kobrin. It’s a small city on the way to Brest. We’re on the central square, next to a charming cultural palace connected by a colorful path through a small park.
The city has streets of historic houses protected by the state. We walk down a lovely alley leading to a park. This picturesque street is named after Suvorov, though opinions about him here are mixed. The houses are beautiful, and the flowerbeds are well-maintained. Modern buildings stand side by side with historical ones — here’s a 19th-century house next to a red-brick contemporary one.
Kobrin is home to about 50,000 people. They even have their own local TV station. A bit further along the alley is the rather plain administration building. One of the city's key attractions is the Suvorov Museum — the very house where Suvorov stayed during his military campaigns in the region.
The main square is paved with colorful tiles in interesting patterns, surrounded by administrative buildings and a monument. Belarusbank has also constructed a modern building here.
Kobrin, like many small and large towns in Belarus, offers tranquility and calm. At the tourist center, you can rent bicycles. Suvorov Street gently leads into a park area, and we walk along the park alley.
Then we reach some modern facilities typical for a town of this size — a water park, a sauna, and a sports center. Locals say the entrance fees are quite affordable, even for retirees.
Overall, the park is a great place for a stroll. Paved paths, greenery, neatly trimmed bushes — simply beautiful. Even horses can be seen here. We continue through Hornbeam Alley, with its tall, majestic trees. Statues of lions guard the path. At the end of the alley, there's another bust of Suvorov, the great general. W
